After a month of music in one form or another (June finished with two days working on the new album in Hove, mainly guitar parts), I am now determined to put some serious nursing and care work hours in for the next couple of months. Six days in the studio are booked for September, an expensive business.
It now looks as though Southlands Hospital where I often work is eventually going to be closed next year as a result of NHS cuts. Another West Sussex hospital is going to be down-graded to a community hospital, with a loss of accident and emergency services. Many many people in West Sussex are not convinced that these changes are wise moves, to put it mildly. But who are we to question the visionary leadership of this country’s government and bureaucratic experts. We are all in safe hands, OF COURSE!!!!!
